I’m getting the new 24” M1 iMac (with 4 ports) very soon, and I thought of using the 2.5” SSD from my old MacBook Pro in an external enclosure. But I’m not really up to date with USB and Thunderbolt specifications and I’ve also read that there are some issues with certain controller chipsets of some enclosures together with M1.
What are your recommendations for me? I’ve been looking at these 2 enclosures:
