sorry for the long title-

i've got a friend who is gettin the educational deal
we don't have an apple store near us

she wants:

1) MB white 2.0 ghz
2) nano 2GB
3) one of the printers
she doesn't really want a "photo printer"
so which one should she get?

2nd question:
can she get this all online?
or (b/c of the printer+rebate) does she need to call it in?

3rd q:
where have we seen the upgrade in RAM for good prices?
(i know there are a few threads on this)-
i think folks have said newegg is best,...etc
just give me a link to the specific product
(she wants to pop about $200 into ram - which i can install for her)
(shoot she can do it herself if i convince her she can)

ooooook
thanks for the help-

Go to CompUSA, Worst Buy, Stapled, etc. and check out the ink cartridges on the free printers -- see if you can buy the BIG cartridges, or see if you are stuck with the minute mL toy cartridges.

Some of the "free printers" are really expensive once you start using them -- especially for color printing, ie not a huge capability in pages there.

If you do a lot of BW printing, buy a really cheap Laser.

If you do a lot of color printing, buy a decent color printer.

---

Sometimes, free ain't cheap -- especially with printers where they WILL make their profit on supplies.
