Hey guys,

I am about to buy the 27" 8core i9 but i am wondering about gfx card choices. The only game i play is World of Warcraft in OSX and although it is old, they have consistently optimised the gfx engine of the game over the years.

Will the stock radeon card be enough to play this on good settings? or should i go for the vega?

thanks!

Choosing the better graphics option now will give you more longevity for your iMac. Is WoW still updated every year? Off the cuff, I'd say 3-5 years of decent settings on the stock card, and maybe 5-7 on the upgraded card. Maybe a bit optimistic ;)

Currently i have a 2013 imac with nvidia geforceGT 755m (1024mb). Is the stock card in the new 2019 27" imac a big upgrade from this?

EDIT: WoW is the only game i play so i dont care about performance on newer/cutting edge games.

Although it's not exactly the same card for the new stock imac, it'll be not too far away - have a look at this.

Oh wow, this is great thanks.

So if i am reading this correctly, even the new stock card would be a HUGE upgrade from my current card, is that correct?
