which graphics card?

Does anyone know if the macbook pros have a better graphics card or the imacs have a better one?
how do u tell if one is better or not?

They are comparable. The new MBPs can have a 512MB card which would be better for some things.

They are both mobile cards. The only thing "desktop" about the iMac is the hard disk. Everything else is made from laptop parts.

More or less. The iMac will have better disk performance whereas the MBP may have better GPU performance depending on what you are doing. Both are more or less the same in that regard.
