So it seems that many of you who have opted for the mid-2010 27" model went with the i7 processor. Can you please tell me which processor number this is? Apple only says the processor name and clock speed.

I think it is I7-875K not the I7-870. But there is a very little difference between these CPUs. I7-860 was the BTO option of the late 2009 model.

And you think Apple pays retail CPU prices why?

Go ahead if you have info how much Apple pays for their CPUs. Retail prices are all we got. Even if Apple paid different prices, the K model would likely cost more.

I guess there is a typo in EveryMac
 
I suppose if everymac says the gpu in the iMac is a 5750, you'd think that were true as well, right.

Btw I couldn't find 875k anywhere in that everymac link. :(
