So i received my replacement today and I'm comparing the two 27 i7's as we speak.

week 7 imac
-quiet hard drive (i never thought this was an issue until i got this new one)
-no buzzing noise when screen brightness was turned down
-somewhat worse screen than my old one (yellowing appears to be across the right side)

week 6 imac
-loud hard drive (not really)
-buzzing noise when screen brightness was turned down
-better screen (minor yellowing across the bottom)

Which one should I keep??

Neither get another replacement its a $1700+ machine it shouldnt have any problems.

If I had to keep one I'd pick the second one. Unless this is your work computer and you work in absolute silence, I imagine you won't hear the hdd or the buzzing when the tv is on or if you're listening to music.

I would not settle for either of *those*. There are better machines out there - I just received a week 7 with minor to NO yellowing, no buzzing or hard drive problems. It's just the backlight bleeding that bothers the **** out of me.

Good luck
