Which iMac have you got?

Hi i was just wondering what kind of imac other people have.

I need help deciding what to get. Im getting a mac for Christmas and i need help deciding.Also i was wondering how good the graphics card in the iMac is.

1. A new Alu 2.0ghz imac when leopard is released. 2. Wait to see if new macbooks are released.

If you're into games go for the 2.4GHz 20" or above. The graphics card in the 2.0 is fine for general use, but is limited by a 64-bit memory bus compared to 128-bit in the other models. In games that's going to show up as a big difference in performance.

Of course, if you're like me and not really into gaming beyond the odd bit of Civ IV, the 2.0GHz will be easily enough for your needs, but remember to stick more RAM in it

It doesn't seem much of an issue for most. Just buy it - it's silly waiting just because you've read a few problems on here from a few.

I plan on getting the 2.4ghz model with the 24" monitor in the next few months when I get my tax return. Hopefully by then Apple will iron out some of the known issues with the iMacs.

I have the 20 inch 2.4ghz. I love it. No problems with freezing.

I have the original 20" iMac Core Duo and couldn't be happier (unless i got the top end aluminium iMac)
