Hi everyone,

I'm looking forwaer to buy a new iMac to daily stuff and to play COD4 and other games (PES and others on bootcamp)

I'm not sure if I should buy the 27" i5 ATI Radeon 4850 or the 21.5" ATI Radeon HD 4670.

My question are:

-What the better relation between the grafic card and the monitor? (The 27" may have a better one but has a larger screen)

-My desk has 60cm os depth, is the 27" too large? (to play and even for the sight)

-The Intel core 2 duo has 3.06GHz and the i5 2.66GHz. Which one is the better? (I'm not looking for extreme multitasking)

27" has better GPU if you're looking at ATI 4850 but because the screen is a lot bigger and resolution is greater, the performance won't be that amazing when playing at native resolution. Check out this thread for gaming in 27" iMac.

IMO it depends on do you want 21.5" or 27", the difference in gaming won't be significant but of course they look better on 27".

i5 has four processing cores while C2D has two. They perform quite same in games because only few games supports quad core so only two cores will be used anyway

The real question here then, is if games will run well on the 27" native resolution. I think if you're going to game on the 27", the 4850 should be a given.
