We just bought a Mac for the first time and are Americans living in the UK. We're trying to keep up with college football, etc... but haven't been able to listen to any internet sports channels that work with quicktime. Have checked Yahoo and ESPN. They all seem to work with windows media player or realplayer. Does anyone know of any internet sites? If not, are we going to have to use IE instead or buy realplayer? I don't even know if you can buy realplayer for OSX. Thanks for your help.

I wish I could see and hear streaming media using QuickTime too, but Real and Windows Media are both available AND FREE for OS X, and don't listen to some on this board who despise them - they work fine, except there are some sites using Windows Media 9 format that may not be compatible with the OS X's Media Player (7.1). (there are rumors that Windows Media 9 would be released for OS X, however)
NO. There's a free real player for OS X. The version you are talking about is the trial version of the Real One Superpass.
Real website is designed such that it's difficult to find the link to the free (and fully operational, no trials) Real Player for OS X. that's one of the reasons why people despise Real.
anyway, go to the Real webpage, look on the upper right corner. Right under "My Account" and "(?)", there's a link for "Free RealOne Player." That's where you get the free player.
thanks for your responses. I did go to reals web site and downloaded what I thought was the free copy, not the 14 day trial. If they didn't ask for credit card I assume I got the free copy, not the 14 day trial. Correct assumption? Thanks.
