One feature of Apple M1 machines is the ability to install and run iOS and iPadOS apps. I am curious which of these iOS and iPadOS apps has M1 owners have tried and find useful?

Didn't know that one could run iOS-apps in MacOS. Sweet. I think I'll try Instagram and IMDb.

To be fair 90% of all iOS apps are just a rewrap of a webpage so in reality I could probably delete them on my phone too and not really miss anything.

Honestly, I find it incredibly hard to even find iOS or iPad OS applications for macOS. The only way I know is to actively search for an application in the Mac App Store and selecting "iPhone and iPad Apps" at the top above the search results. There is no filter in "Discover" nor a Category where I could browse through available iOS/iPad OS applications that might end up being useful on macOS. Which is why I am running exactly 0, zero, null, zilch iOS/iPad OS applications on my M1 Mac.
Honestly, this half-a$$ed approach is seriously lacking. Or is it just me and am I once again too stupid to find my way around the Mac App Store?

While it sounds cool in theory, I have seen no reason to. I use a Mac for different things than an iPhone and an iPad. If I didn't, I wouldn't need one.
Actually I think that is more true of MacOS and Windows these days. They have both become infested with Electron Web Apps (e.g. VS Code, Slack, MS Teams etc).
At least apps like teams have an actual function. Most iOS apps basically only are a text page or a video stream.
iPad apps I use are: Authy, MySubaru (really an iPhone app), mySolarEdge (solar panel monitoring), GoodNotes 5 and a bunch of small medical reference apps.
