Hi,

i was under ios 6.1.3 for 3 years now, and i updated my ipad 4 to ios 10.3.3 and it feels stuttering specially i hate the rotate stutter and keyboard lag...

So i enjoy now the 10.3.3 jailbreak, i success the 8.4.1 OTA downgrade, it's fine, but the rotate is still stuttering... I like the "handoff/continuity" so if i can keep iOS 8.X it could be nice but i don't know which version is the better in term of speed. Maybe 8.3 is enough ?

I gonna try to ios 7 and same here, i don't know which version to install.

I gonna use coolbooter to dual boot !

Thank you

iOS 7 but app support is probably going to be an issue.

Personally, I don't have fond memories of iOS 8. It always seemed to crash on me and Safari would go on never ending crash-reload loops. I actually prefer iOS 9.3.5 on the iPad 3, 4 and Air over any iteration of iOS 8.

That said, it's hard to get smoother UI than the iPad 4/iOS 6 combo (at least until the ProMotion-capable iPads).

yeah 10.3.3 is still useable but UI animation are stuttering even if you reduce transparency

Alas, even on the iPad Air and iPhone 5s with A7 chipset, there are still microstutters on iOS 7 onwards with Reduce Motion enabled.

The A6 chipsets and older just weren't designed with iOS 7+ eye candy and multitasking in mind.

I was running 10.3.3 on my iPad 4th gen with a fresh install and was impressed with how useable it was. 9.3.5 killed my iPad 3..
Personally, I wouldn't want to use the iPad 3 past iOS 6. That said, for me iOS 8 killed the iPad 3 (awful, awful, awful keyboard lag) but iOS 9.3.5 actually made it somewhat more usable again.

I success to install coolbooter and 7.1.2 with dual boot 8.4.1

iOS 7.1.2 is a little smoother but keyboard rotation is still stuttering in some app, and youtube is horribly stuttering on both version. And i loose lot of space because of the partition, my ipad is only 16GB version

I could just install 6.1.3 but safari is crashing too much that's why i went through iOS 10.3.3 and app no longer useable...

Maybe i wanna stay some time on 8.4.1 and pair it with my iphone 5C on 8.3 with handoff, and maybe hackintosh

I tried chrome on iOS 6 but it was unpleasant. Maybe I should had install "Nitrous" to boost JavaScript. But now it's too late :(
