Which iPad offers the best value out of the 2018 iPad 128gb, a refurbished 9.7 inch iPad Pro 128gb or a 10.5 inch iPad Pro 64gb. They’re all a similar price.

Of the devices options you provided, the 10.5 is my favourite, but you selected 128GB versions for the other two devices, so that makes me wonder if 64GB is therefore enough for you? The next size up is 256GB and that sounds like it would then give you lots of storage to use and therefore longevity from the device, which therefore adds personal value.
If that goes up too high in cost, then I’d consider the iPad 2018 for the latest processor, unless you think you will need a keyboard and want the Apple one, then the iPad Pro 9.7 might be what you need.

Worst value: iPad Pro 9.7”. Benefits include ProMotion and four speakers. Downsides are A9X and price.

Best value: iPad 2018. Benefits include A10, Pencil support, and 20% bigger battery compared to iPad Pro. Downside: non-laminated display.

iPad Pro 9.7” doesn’t come with promotion, but it does have that laminated display.

I do agree that the 6th gen iPad probably has the best value at this point, price wise. In the very least, it’s also fairly recent, so you still feel like you are getting something fairly new.

Completely depends on what you’re trying to get out of the iPad.

For my money iPad 2018 would be the best value. If size is not as issue.

iPad 2018.

P.S. Also think if you really need that much storage. You may, but depending on your needs something to consider.

128GB iPad 2018 is $430 while refurb 64GB iPad Pro 10.5 is $550. Assuming you don't need the extra 64GB of storage, my vote actually goes to the Pro 10.5.

Now if it had been between 32GB iPad 2018 and 64GB Pro 10.5 at full MSRP, my vote would be 2018 hands down.

The 2018 iPad 128GB provided the most value for my needs, so I picked one up earlier this week. It helped that Microcenter and Costco had them at $399, which Target matched and my Redcard got another 5% off to get it to $380. Even without that deal though, I’m very happy with it so far.

Definitely the 2018 iPad. I was going to purchase the 10.5 after there was no announcement at WWDC, but one of my relatives has Comcast (Xfinity) Triple Play and they are running an awesome promotion where you get a 128GB iPad 6th Gen for $120 or $5/Month for 24 months. I gave them an extra 40 bucks and I have a new 6th Gen 128GB iPad for $160. Once the new Pros are announced, I'll probably jump on one of those and give the 6th gen to my dad.

Last November, it was $199 (no tax/shipping) for iPad 5 32gb at AAFES. Had to go with 2 at that price. Never went much above 10gb storage used since then.
