Like the Apple ear buds, the set of built in iPhone apps are a good fit for many people, but certainly not all of us. I personally have yet to use stocks even once.

Even more useless than stocks is, IMO, YouTube (especially on EDGE). It's like that stale stick of gum that came in a pack of trading cards. I didn't ask for the gum. I don't need the gum. It's not why I bought the cards, and it pretty much loses its flavor within minutes.

So, what iPhone app is your stick of gum?

they all serve their purpose at times...but I wouldn't miss the camera if it wasn't there, even though its the best phone camera I have used

watermelon and grape

i never use the ipod (except to show off the phone) and i never use the calander. i wish the iphone apps had the same integration with each other that ilife does.
A
It does not leave rom for real awnsers. very pointed, err. directed.

at this point in my life i dont need the stock app and i cant see myself ever using it. But i can see how the stock app can be someone elses favorite. I find the rest of the apps to be pretty useful.

I voted for stocks, although YouTube could leave, too, and I wouldn't lose any sleep. When there are more than 20 apps, and a way to manage them, those will be the first to go.

If someone needs to get a hold of me they call or text. If they send an email it can wait til I get home.

Definitely the calendar app for me. I think I started it up once just to check it out when I first got my iPhone. All the other things, I've genuinely used at least a few times. I just don't see the point of a calendar. I can remember the things I'm supposed to do just fine, and if I don't remember it, it wasn't important enough to worry about in the first place. Besides, for a calendar to work, you have to remember to check it often, which I wouldn't do.

YouTube doesn't warrant a spot on the screen's real estate. At least the stocks screen changes every time I look at it, vs constantly seeing the 'invisible water' and 'evolution of dance' videos day after day after day.

At least 'chocolate rain' hasn't appeared on my iPhone yet. Thank God.

I think my least used app would have to be youtube. I don't really know why, but it doesn't appeal to me at all.

Maybe it will once more videos make the switch.

Do a video search. There are A LOT more videos available these days.

BTW, you continually see 'Evolution of Dance' likely because you are on the 'Most Viewed' screen. With 50+ million views, you'll be seeing it on that screen for a long time.

'Stocks' is only there to court the ego-important financial people who need to invest in Apple stocks and make analyses of Apple's next moves to cause Apple's stock to rise. And old people.

I have done a few searches lately and it is most certainly getting better, but it is not quite there yet.

Perhaps my fascination with youtube is fading.

Stocks is the biggest waste.
Just type in "AAPL" or "YHOO" in your iPhone's safari and you are good to go - just a couple extra "touches"

Instead I want a Todo list

I use Notes for my To-Do list. If I had the real thing, Notes would be my stick.

Love(d) Stocks. It was probably my most used app after Phone & Safari.
Yes, one can look up each stock but it's cool to have a list with everything on it, doing the finger flick thing. It was so much fun for a while...

...not so much lately. A lot of red going on... Every single freakin' thing on MY list anyway.

Stocks. Do you think I'd be reading an phone discussion forum if I owned stocks?

Owning stocks is one of the reasons I have time to read a phone discussion forum. :)

I also use Notes every time I go grocery shopping.

I think the YouTube app is cool, but it seems like it's kind of out of place there on the home screen with other more "useful" apps.

Same here. Stocks I do use, but as of late with the market I have chosen to avoid.
