iPod Which iPod nano 6 should I choose as a gift for my girlfriend

Hi there. :)

There are 6 colors of Apple iPod Nano... I am thinking of which one should I buy for my girlfriend as a birthday gift?

Pink is not the best option, I'd probably go with blue or green... What do you think? I know these colors are her favorite in general.

In other words, which one would you buy for your girlfriend? :rolleyes:

Just need advice!..

Have you looked at them at the Apple Store? If not, maybe take your girlfriend along, go over to the iPod nano's and say something like 'I prefer the blue, how about you?'. That way you should be able to find out what colour is likes but it may be a bit obvious. :)

huh, she already has an iPhone4, but she doesn't like listening music on iPhone :) also, it is 16 gb, and there is always lack of phone memory :D (it's kinda like women's handbags, yeah, they know how to fill em with some stuff :D )


And I think the Nano is more like.. a 'stylish' thing than a usual mp3

I vote for none. The failure rate on these things is too high. The first one I had, the sleep/wake button died after just 7 weeks. Making it impossible to use. The second one I had, the refurbished replacement even though I purchased new, the screen started to separate from the casing, exposing the glue and and forming a giant gap between the screen and casing.

Receiving my third one tomorrow. I wish I could get a refund.
 
The blue one is the one I would go with...

Then again I am in the same boat as mosx... I am up to my 3rd nano as well... I am lucky where I can still use my 5th (or 2nd) gen nano(s) while waiting for the replacement from the Apple Store... sigh.
 
I've heard that the color green is relaxing and reduces stress. I think it's nice to look at as well. What do you think?

P.S. I own one - they're pretty nice. ;)

Its funny that you mentioned this because I just got back from Target a few minutes ago because of the same issue. I just bought my iPod nano on thursday, and almost immediately I noticed the glue was coming undone and the screen was beginning to lift from the casing, so today I finally had free time and went to for an exchange. This one seems to be a lot better, but I've only had it out of its case for like 15 minutes.

The first one I had was Blue and I really liked a lot, but when I went back today they were sold out of the Blue 16gb (and so were the 3 other targets in my area), so I had to decide between Silver or Graphite, I chose Graphite and thats not so bad. But I still recommend you get the Blue one.
 
I'd stay away from the Nano because of the problems and lack of features. If I've to select one, I'd go with blue.
 
I love mine, only wish it would work on Tiger. :( But, I'd bet that's a non-issue for most, I'm just stuck in my old ways. :p The blue one is the one I'd go for. Green is actually my favorite color, but the shade Apple chose is not to my taste, the blue fits much better. Just my humble opinion. ;)

Hah nice. We're definitely not the only ones having this issue. Google turns up a ton of results of people having this and the sleep/wake button problem.

It's funny how the person "helping" me gave me a line about how Apple products are more reliable, Consumer Reports rates them highest (was tempted to ask him about the iPhone 4 CR review), blah blah blah.

You can't tell me your products are better when I've already had two of the same kind fail!

Got my second replacement today, third overall so far. No gap yet. No glue yet. Sleep/wake button feels better than the other two. Battery is doing better so far too. We'll see.
 
She's a girl. You have to buy her the pink one.

Girl = Pink
Boy = Blue
Emo = Black
Boring = Silver

Nobody buys the other colours.
 
How about buying her one that's her favourite colour and then buying her different coloured watch straps. It'll be a bit more costly but it shows that you thought about the gift a bit more.
 
I'm remembering from her choice in underwear colors and I think she would like blue. Seriously? You're asking us? What's her favorite color? What would suit her? This is just a weird question.
