Hey,
I've been putting a lot of research into ipod armor and shields and all of them get complaints about the orange peel look and horrible complaints about customer service.
Not to mention complaints about the armor peeling off after a few days.
So are any of them actually reliable and backed by good customer service?
Thanks for any advice.

I bought one of those hard cases. The screen part is so scratched and distorted that it messes up the colors on the screen because of all the prismatic scratches. And that's after a MONTH.
Any other suggestions?

Personally, I think Invader was talking about the "shields" as far as InvisibleShield, Bodyguardz, etc. I put Bodyguardz on my new 4th Gen Nano and am VERY pleased with the results. I've used a lot of the different brands of "gadget film" and Bodyguardz ranks at the top of my list. It has the least "orange peel" look to it, is very smooth, and covers every possible part of the Nano. Plus, once you buy something from Bodyguardz, you get a discount of future purchases....just food for thought. Good luck with the new Nano.

Is the Bodyguardz one really stuck on there? I don't want that thing to peel off unless I try and peel it off.

Get a Best Skins Ever i have one on my touch and it workd great no scratches and no peeling after 2 months.

Yeah the Bodyguardz is really stuck on there and won't peel off until you pull it off. It does NOT leave residue on the device (there are Bodyguardz on my iPhone, iPod Classic, iPod Nano, and my new MacBook). I've tried Best Skins Ever and was actually disappointed with the material quality (plus it's a one-shot deal....with companies like Invisible Shield by ZAGG and Bodyguardz, they'll send free replacements for life once you buy from them as long as it's warranted). I've been very happy with Bodyguardz, InvisibleShield is in 2nd place, then BSE. Hope this helps.

I have on the way a ZAGG Invisible shield.. hope it's solid!

Got my invisible shield in yesterday and installed it. Awesome! Love it, pretty easy to istall, had some issues, comes with this watery/adhesive to spray on your hands and the plastic, you can move the shield around before having it set solid, so that's not bad. mine fits great and looks great.
