New 2016 Macbook Pro 13" Without Touch Bar (2 Ghz, 256GB SSD, 8GB) For $1470 (Including Dongles And Tax).

I prefer laptops that are as small and light as possible, so I'd probably go for the new model, but it really depends on how important that $300 is to you.
