Which is best for iPhone 3G tethering USB or Bluetooth?

So o2 here in the UK have just set up the tethering on my iPhone account, i know I'm a bit of a douche for paying the fee but this is something i will use on a regular basis and comes in very handy when traveling around with my air. Anyway as i was browsing away a thought occurred to me does using tethering over USB hold any advantages? Lets say speed for example than using the bluetooth option?

Of course.
Less power usage on the iPhone, and charges the iPhone while you're doing it. (can be a good or bad thing)
Also, it can't be hacked by somebody sitting 5 feet away from you.

Oh, it should also conserve your laptop's battery life, with bluetooth off.

USB will have a higher top speed and won't drain the iPhone battery (quite the opposite as it will charge it whilst in use).
Personally I'd use Bluetooth for short sessions if at all and USB for most of the time.
Slightly OT: is the tethering any good? I currently use a PAYG dongle for Internet on the go but would switch to iPhone tethering if it works well

That is, of course, only if your 3G speeds exceed your BlueTooth speeds.

I would have to say USB 110%

- iPhone doesn't loose charge if via USB, just your computer
- I found on trains and moving vehicles, bluetooth can be a bit temperamental

However I have found my 3GS got damn hot when using USB and not nearly as so when using bluetooth
