I need a carry case for my iphone as I want it to be spotless, I dont want a case which I would use even when on a call I just want it for when not in use.

There are many many options ... slip-in cases, cases with belt clips, pouches can all be used for an iPhone. Give us some more ideas about what you want the case to do, will you pocket it or wear it on a belt, etc. and someone may have some ideas.

BTW you may also want to look at the iPhone accesories forum, and on the iPhone cases reviews at iLounge.

The best case for your iphone is no case. If you want it protected when not in use, get a pouch case. Other than that, you should use it naked. Get a squaretrade warranty if you are worried about accidental damage...

i have a belkin silicon slipcase and it seems to keep it perfect i would recommend it, it also came with screen protectors

After reading that some hard cases cause scratches on the iphone I went out and got a Speck silicone case. Then I noticed *it* was causing scratches. A buddy got his iphone two weeks ago and got a different case. He took it out and the two week old iphone was covered with hairline marks all over the chrome.

Now I don't use a case. If the phone is going to get scratched regardless why bother? It looks beautiful on its own and by the time it starts to look shabby it will be upgrade time.

i would go with the incase slider, i have one for the first gen iphone and when a friend of mine saw it, went right ahead and got one for his iphone 3G, it looks really good and is very slim...

After trying out many of the cases at the Apple store (it was slow when I was in there at 10:30am, so the associate had no problem taking his time), I came to [my] conclusion that the rubber InCase case was the best protection, most-comfortable, and most quality-looking case. I have now had this case for two months now, and several (yes, several) of my friends have also bought these cases after seeing mine. I recommend that you go to your local Apple store and look at the cases for yourself. (I prefer a soft case over a hard case because if you drop your phone it will provide some shock-absorption, whereas a hard case will not. Also, the rubber case is a grip that your hand can grab onto better)

Without a case, I have found the 3G phone to easily slip/jump out of my hand - several other people that I have talked to have had similar experiences, and I've read of similar experiences on MacRumors forums. I don't want my phone to be all flashy/shiny with chrome and attract attention like it's some fashion accessory. I have a good job and live in a nice area, but I often go into less well-off areas from time to time, and I don't want to be flashing around some shiny chrome "fashion" phone. With the black rubber case, it doesn't look like a fashion item, and it is also protected if I accidentally drop it, and although I have never dropped my phone, there was a thread here on MacRumors asking if people have dropped their phone - those with cases reported zero damage, while those without cases reported multiple scratches and two people said they had to exchange the phone.

+1 on that case. I went caseless for a while, but I really think this case is worth the $35 because it will keep the phone safe.

I like my Incase Hipcase. The 3G fits nice and snug and it has a velvet-like interior to keep the iPhone in nice condition.

Figured I'd ask in this thread too, as I'm finally picking up an iPhone later this week. The case is my final decision. Bottom line is I have always kept my phones in my pocket, from flips to Treo's, I hate wearing them on my belt.

So with that said, what's everyones opinion on a good case, that slides easily in and out of a front pocket, or cargo pockets?

Thanks!
