iPod Which is the latest iTunes version for the 5th gen iPod?

please tell me which is the latest version of iTunes for the 5th generation iPod ... I mean I don't have an iPhone or Apple TV ... I only want the necessary features for my 5th gen iPod ...

I usually keep my softwares up to date but I don't want to update my iTunes if there is nothing changed for my iPod ... I mean why update to the version introduced for iPhone if I don't have an iPhone

or they fix bugs or other things with every release ???

iTunes updates includes other features and fixes that aren't related to iPhones.

iPhone or no iPhone...

...I don't see any reason why you would NOT want to use the latest version. If nothing else you get all the bug fixes and other tweaks that Apple has put into the product.
