Curious as to which jailbreak do you think will come first...
I'm on 8.4.1 after giving up jailbreak to upgrade to 9. After 1 day with that laggy mess, I tried 9.1 beta, which was better.
Was worried that 9 might take a while to crack so I decided to go back to 8.4.1 while still had chance.
So, anyone think they might release a jailbreak for 8.4.1 before 9.1?

As much as I'd like them to give us 8.4.1 first because that is now what I am stuck on, that won't happen.

They will wait until 9.1 and release then. Just like with iOS 6 and 7, jailbreaks will probably happen after that for the last version numbers. But if they release one for 8.4.1 then Apple will plug it with the 9.1 release.

If history is going to repeat, which it generally does, iOS 9 will be jailbroken before iOS 8.4.1. The jailbreak for iOS 7.0.x was released a few days before the 6.1.3/6.1.4 jailbreak.

Ios 9 is already jailbroken by ih8sn0w, now we just have to wait for a public release :)

My understanding is that he usually has zero intent of releasing any of the current jailbreaks he's been videoing.

Strictly a proof of concept thing, or "Look at me, look at me!" if you aren't predisposed to like the guy.

no public release, and furthermore that is for 32 bit devices only. so nothing newer than iPhone 5.

I'm curious too but my situation is a little bit different as I have a replacement iPhone 6 in the mail coming tomorrow.

I checked out the serial number and it was made in May 2015 so I'm thinking it's very likely it will come with 8.3. So my question to all of you is:

Should I keep it on 8.3? Should I put 8.4.1 on it? Do you guys think there really will be a jailbreak for 8.4.1? Is there anything significant with performance difference between 8.3 and 8.4.1 or is it just the music app? Also do you think my phone will be worth more selling it next fall with 8.3 on it? What would you guys do? Thanks!

I'll trade you my 8.4.1 for your 8.3! :D

I have 6.1.3 on my 4S, but I doubt if you want to downgrade that far.
You would be wrong. :D

iOS 6 is my favorite version. I had it on my iPhone 5 for a little over a year before I had to have the phone replaced. I ended up with iOS 7 on the new phone and I was seriously disappointed.

If I could get iOS 6 back on my iPhone 5 I'd be delighted. Unfortunately, my iPhone 6+ can only run a minimum of iOS 8.

My guess is the next JB will be for ios 9.1
Since betas for 9.1 are already out it would be pointless to put out anything that's earlier than that.
Most likely Apple will fix all initial bugs from 9.0 and release a more solid ios version with 9.1

My guess is there are multiple teams looking to release first and jailbreak will be out as soon or very close to the 9.1 release

The chinese JB teams are looking for business on their app-stores, many are upgrading or new-users on 6S and 6S+ which only has 9.x so it will be for 9.x.

8.4.1 is a waste of time and resources.
