I just had to search for which way was left via Google Images! :p

But, yeah, mine's alreays on the right, unless I have headphones plugged in when I might hold it the other way.

Usually, though, I hold it with the button on the right because I'm used to it and I hate the idea of accidently touching the camera lens.

I just tried it and I guess you're right, but it does block it from time to time, just not as much the other way around.

That way also makes it easier to deal with the headphones plugged in. However, using a Mophie negates this issue as the speaker's sounds are reflected towards you.

home button to the right (except one game i tried, but i forget which one, forces you to use the home button to the left)

I generally have the homebutton on the right, but this changes if I need to hear something, then I flip it to the left so I don't cover the speaker or the headphone jack...

I just just get in the habit of holding it to the left. :p

But actually I use it vertical most of the time. I've become pretty good at the small keyboard, even with big hands haha.

I have the home button to the right because that's the way YouTube videos are shown. It's kind of annoying to hold it to the left and then have to flip everytime I wanted to watch a video

to the right!

i wish there was a setting that i can turn off landscape mode such as texting or email, sometimes i like to use my iphone before i sleep and it annoys the heck out of me

Totally know what you mean! If you jailbreak you can turn it off though :D There's a slider for SBSettings that makes the phone not change from it's orientation so locked in either Landscape or Portrait.

Wow overwhelming majority are Righters! I'm a lefty myself as pointed out the speaker gets blocked otherwise.

I hold the phone with my left hand, I am left handed, and the antennia is on the home button side. if I cover the antennia with my hand it slows down and I get 2-3 less bars. On the iPhone 2g edge it was more noticible Also this is the default way YouTube and many many aps open. Also when the phone is charging, the cord isn't in my way of holding it. I'm supprised you right handed folks hold it with the home button on the right. Also the speaker is not blocked by my fat hand.

I don't use my heaphones in landscape, always verticle.

It is weird for me to use it to the left but I must say, kudos to everyone ... 20 replies and not one that belong in the gutter. Until now that is. ;)

No I'm left handed, but I usually use it with two hands anyway (and, yes, I did write that so it deliberately sounds dirty :p).

Peoples Front of Judea v Judean Peoples Front.

It varies with me depending on what I am doing with the phone as to which way I turn it.

As an advocate for Home Button on the right, I would argue that a) Youtube only open in that orientation b) you can hear the speaker better with cupped hand.
