Which LCD TV? (Samsung)

I'm currently looking at the following two lcd tv's by samsung. Do any of you own one of these tv's? and which do you recommend?

i just bought a LN-S2641D from Sears on Sunday and it has a nice picture, but i'm a little disappointed with the resolution. I went from a 17" flat panel to this TV as a second monitor for my PB and it only runs at 1360x768. I sometimes wish that I had just spent the same amount on an apple 23" display or a dell similar model with component inputs or HDMI. This TV has no QAM tuner, meaning that if you want to get over the air HD via an antenna, its no big deal, but if you want to get cable HD, even locals that are being broadcast over the air through cable, you HAVE to get a box. Overall though, i've begun to adopt the resolution and was pissed at the lack of no QAM tuner, but now i'm fine. I kinda like the white look, but went with the black because Sears didn't have the white and i got 18 months SAC.

I am going to purchase the 41D. I couldn't justify spending the extra cash for a little more contrast, and the angled bezel. Both look fantastic though, and would serve you well. Are you buying it for a tv, or a monitor?

good choice if you're going with a Samsung for a TV and Monitor, the extra contrast does NOT make a difference, I sell TVs to people everyday looking based on contrast ratio... buy based on resolution people!

Looking to buy it for just TV use only. Currently have a 27" and it's just not doing it anymore I'd like to get HD setup and have a much better picture.

Question: My mother and father has a Sony 32" me and my sisters got it for them for christmas 2005. Anyways, there picture is not that great on a standard directv unit (no hd). They are using rg59 cable. I thought about using a higher quality cable... but would it make a difference? The dish itself is using rg59 coming from outside to inside and all the way to the room. How would it make a difference if I used a different connection from the satellite box to the tv?

rg59 couldn't be worse from the satellite receiver to the TV. If the box has Component (red blue and green for video, red and white for audio) out, use that, if not use S-video or composite (red, yellow, and white)

The cable from the dish to the receiver should be RG-6 at least!

However, if your signal stength is high you could probably get away with RG-59...

Note that since SD DirecTV is 480x480 it generally looks like crap on HDTVs.

RG59 generally carries an analog signal very well, but to hook up and get the best digital signal (supposedly everything with DirecTV is digital) you should use S-video at least, if not component. It WILL make a difference.
