Me, I am currently looking to buy the M1 iPad Pro. But it all depends on what they will announce on WWDC in terms of software for the iPad Pro.
Pre-ordering the base iMac in blue.
Q: will the ethernet pass thru power brick of the higher tier units be able to connect to the base iMac ?
Maybe not. The base iMac may not be able to receive data over the cable. Similarly both USB-C and Thunderbolt have the same connector, but they have different specs.Q: will the ethernet pass thru power brick of the higher tier units be able to connect to the base iMac ?
If they could make them small enough to stick on my glasses, that would be something.Airtags!
I did see an option for the base iMac - $30 for Gigabit Ethernet - is that an upgraded power brick or an adapter dongle ???Maybe not. The base iMac may not be able to receive data over the cable. Similarly both USB-C and Thunderbolt have the same connector, but they have different specs.
If this is important I would look for clarification before assuming.
I have the 2018 iPad Pro and I can’t see the point of buying the M1 version. I’d love to but I really don’t need it. I do love my M1 Mac mini though, it’s the best Mac I’ve ever owned. But I would not buy an iMac, because I do not wish to go back to an all in one. I prefer to keep the computer separate from the monitor.None of the above. I've got an M1 mini. No use for an iMac, which is the same computer as the M1 mini, and I don't like the look. Also have an M1 MBA and love it to bits.
I'd only consider the M1 iPad Pro if the iPad ran MacOS apps. Otherwise, it's just a really good iPad with a gimped OS in my view.
Pretty sure that's the upgraded power brick.I did see an option for the base iMac - $30 for Gigabit Ethernet - is that an upgraded power brick or an adapter dongle ???
Thanks @neilwPretty sure that's the upgraded power brick.
There are aspects of the new iMac that I'm not happy with, but I'll be getting one anyway. The screen size is perfect for me, and it'll be huge step up (performance-wise) from my current 2013 21.5" model. I'm not sure it'll last me 7.5 years like the last one did, though.
16 GB/1 TB, probably blue.
There is AirTag accessory for glasses. Can't remember the brand though. I think that will be quite a hit.If they could make them small enough to stick on my glasses, that would be something.
I will be buying a set though, they sound handy.
