Go base model. It will savve you quite a lot of money and then you can upgrade the ram on it to saatisfy your needs.

If you need a superdrive then the 2.0 model. Otherwise 1.83 with atleast 1 GB RAM will be a better option.

1.83 - Great price and good for basic needs. I think it is the best deal in the 3 MacBooks. I recommend you upgrade the RAM for all 3.

2.0 - I doubt that anyone can see the performence increase a lot. Good only if you want to burn DVDs.

Black 2.0 - Only go for this if you want to show it off. The 80 GB HD is merely $50 more, so basicly you are paying $150 for the black color. Although I have noticed the Black models are not as hot when I visit the Apple Store, and no discoloration problems.

Ok,
MacBook with (1-2gb),100gb,2GHZ.
what are you think about this details?
why you are not recommended about a Mbp?

I think the Macbook you described (1-2GB, 2Ghz, 100GB HD) sounds good. No one has mentioned a MBP probably because it doesn't seem like you're going to be doing enough stuff to really warrant the extra money being spent on a MBP. If you think it'd be a better choice though, then get it.
