Hey guys,

I'm new to Mac..I plan on making my purchase sometime this week. I want to use it typically for downloading and FCP Studio 2. Problem is, I would be stretching my budget very thin if I bought the 2.4 MBP, but at the same time I'm worried that the 128mb graphics card in the 2.2 MBP won't be able to handle FCP Studio 2. Does anyone have a 2.2 MPB running studio 2? If so, how does it work?

Thanks in advance.

Dean

256MB of VRAM will lead to better FCP performance according to the folks at The Apple Store here.

If you plan on using Motion, the 2.4 would be better. I'm currently using FCP2 on my 2.2 and while it works fine for the most part, life would be "faster" with the 256 VRAM.
