On my MacBook Air m1 I can reach 4k144hz easily

But I’m very confused about the new Mac’s

Is there any Mac that can do 4k240 over display port ?

Im hoping they’ll bring that to MacBook Air m4

4K240 is possible on some Apple Silicon Macs. One person reported 4K240 working on M3 Macbook.

On Intel Macs, a patch exists to switch DSC target bpp. The default is 12 but 4K240 requires 11 or 10. You can go down to 8 (I haven't tried 6). Another patch is used to remove a 500kHz horizontal scan rate limit since 4K240 has horizontal scan rate of 583 kHz.

that's the confusing part, some people say they can, other says they can't. I can't get a conclusive anaswer about it and what are the conditions (over DP)

yeah Ik about intel, but im on arm

Ahhhhh, sorry I overlooked that. You are seeking such a specific answer, I'd open a sales chat with Apple directly and get the word straight from them. Somebody around here may know and may find this thread and get you the answer but you could probably get it near immediately through a quick chat with Apple.
