I am strongly considering upgrading my laptop and am wondering which MBP to get.

15” i9 32Gb Ram 1TB SSD
or
16” i9 16Gb Ram 1TB SSD

My main concern is all the problems that I’ve heard about with the older models, but is the 32 gb ram worth it?

I’ll be using Adobe Suite in it mostly for video editing and photoshop. Budget isn’t an issue right now since I have two in mind that are similarly priced right now. Weight isn’t an issue. Battery life shouldn’t either, but I wouldn’t mind the longer battery life which gives the 16 inch a slight edge.

Do not buy a 15" model at this point. If you need 32GB but can't afford it in the 16" yet, you're better off saving up rather than buying the 15 inch.

If the 16" version has the new keyboard i would research how good this keyboard really is. The old butterfly keyboard, even when all the keys are working, is a miserable experience.

memory
using the maxOS Activity app run something close to your configuration and see how much memory is getting used. There is a good chance it will not even get close to 32G?

I have a 13", early 2015 MacBook Air. What keyboard does it have? The "old butterfly"?

Tried out a newer MBP today with, I suppose, a butterfly keyboard. That truly is not nice. Very happy with my MBA scissor switch. But I suppose one could get used to it. I remember switching from a manual Smith Corona to an IBM Selectric; hated the IBM for a long time but did get used to it.
