Which New updates Imac and editing video

Which updated iMac would you commend for editing video, films, etc? Whuch specs should I have?

Any of them are well up to the task. I edit video on my first gen Alu iMac 2.0GHz, and the current range are much faster than that.

What are the differences between the different ranges?

If you are editing HD in iMovie, they will all render effects in real time. The only differences you will see is when exporting or compressing. The faster iMacs are going to require a little less time (scaled by their CPU speed) for such exports or compression.
