Been gifted a mid 2009 13" MBP. After

Want to swap the HDD for an SSD and put the HDD in the place of the Superdrive. (As I understood the SATA channel for the optical drive is only SATA 1 but the channel for HDD is SATA 2 after some (which?) software update.)

I see I can choose between 3 adapters: 9 mm, 9.5 mm, 12.7 mm. Which one do I need?

Also, do somebody know adapters that will cover the slit of the Superdrive?

There is no way to cover the slit. All of the ODD converters I use leave the slit in place.

I used a 9.5 mm adapter.
