Which one. A little confused.

I was a little confused about what version of Windows XP to get for bootcamp. I am wanting to run XP on my mac and didn't want to get the wrong software, so if anyone could answer my question it would be great. If you know a hyperlink maybe to amazon where I can buy it that would be great to. Thanks. John.

Windows XP Home Edition or Professional (32-bit) with SP2 or above will work on bootcamp. Below is a link to a copy of Windows XP Home Edition on Amazon that will work.

Awesome, I bought a version and got it here this morning. I do have a few more questions regarding bootcamp: when I go to partition my harddrives, can I leave the windows HD at 5GB or will I need to place it at least 32GB, because my windows installs disk is 32bit, I just wasn't sure, I will be only useing windows for a video game. And is there a way to change the size of the partitions later or is it set in gold?
My next question is: I have just installed snow leopard upgrade and when it ask me to take out my windows disk to install my drivers for windows, do I put in my snow leopard disk or do I use the other disk the computer comes with, the one that says drivers on it?

It can be smaller than 32GB. I think XP will fit (barely) on a 5GB partition. One game (if it's old!) may fit on it. Like Starcraft. Otherwise you will need an external drive for more space. The size of the partition is set in stone, only way to resize it is to destroy it and create a new one. You're better off making one a little bigger than you need from the start. I use about 25GB for a handful of games.

The way I remember the bootcamp utility working is once it creates the partition it asks you to insert the Windows install disk. Then it reboots and runs the windows installer. Once Windows is installed, put in the Snow Leopard disk and run the driver setup program. It has the Windows drivers for your mac.

I have a Mac Pro that was purchased in mid 2008 and I am quite new in using boot camp.

I have 4GBs of RAM in my Mac Pro and I want to use Vista x64 so that the OS can see all of the memory.

I read that 2008 Mac Pros can run Vista x64 but I am unsure if I should buy the old version of Vista without SP 1 or purchase Vista with SP 1.
