Apple calls that the "LED Backlight Board"
What is that responsible for?
It is the controller for the LED backlight, so it determines, to a large degree, the brightness of the display.
It does that by distributing voltage from the main power supply board, to the display backlight.

Can I use that Apple lcd board along with those Chinese controller boards so that the brightness is bright since it will derive from the original lcd board?
(just a thought)

I would guess that the 3rd-party controller board will come with mod steps for the iMac that will tell you if the LED backlight board is used, or not. I don't know if it would be independently useful, or if you simply plug everything from the mod kit in place, and the built-in board is used with the mod; or if that internal board is bypassed (not needed) by the mod kit. I have no experience with a mod like that.

Apple LCD board is totally bypassed since you take out the display from the iMac case and use it as a standalone display totally separated.
