I've just started with this. Right now I'm using CopyTrans File Manager for transferring music, video and apps, it gets the job done but it's a bit laggy and slow and a lot of the time it freezes up or stops working. I also tried the CopyTrans photo transfer program but it's limited to 20 transfers then it asks me to purchase the paid service.

I've also just tried and downloaded Iexplore which has problems loading and Ifubox which seems ok but my usage for it seems limited to apps downloading.

I know there are a lot of programs out there, I'd like to know which ones you use so i can try out other programs. I'm looking for something light and simple, preferably one that doesn't freeze up and have to restart all the time.

I use iFile to browse files on my device (there's a free trial available in cydia), and to get files to/from my device, there's nothing better than using apple's own file transfer.

Just find whatever file you want to send to your computer in ifile and copy and paste it into an app that supports usb file transfer (there are a ton out there, I use goodreader or GoodPlayer, but there are also a ton of free ones i'm sure. The app doesn't even have to be related to your file type in any way, it just has to be an app that seems like it would benefit from being capable of transfering documents from device to computer or vice versa.)

Anyway, you copy the file to the "Documents" folder inside of the application folder (located in ifile) and it will appear when you select the app under the "apps" menu in ITunes, then you just drag and drop it onto your desktop. To get a file onto your device, you just drag the file onto the "apps" menu, instead of off of it.

I'll try ifile when I have some time later. Do you guys know if I can use it to transfer CBR and PDF files as well?

I didn't actually sync the iphone with my computer since it's still synced with another laptop in the household. I don't know why but I assumed once i JB'd the iphone, I would be able to sync it to any itunes on any computer.

I've been trying disk aid, seems good but freezes quite a bit. Also, whenever i try to access apps, it gives be some sort of warning or notification to restart or reconnect. i haven't been able to work that out...

iFile on the phone, iFunBox between my MacBook and the phone. I used to use DiskAid, but iFunBox has some great features that DiskAid doesn't have.

I've only been using both for a while, can you tell me what you mean by more features? From what I've seen they do pretty much the same and I've not been able to manage my music on ifunbox.

I've had problems with the Windows 7 version of iFunbox..

iFile is great because you can simply broadcast any directory over WiFi and upload/download files to it via that.
