I would imagine that OWC brand is fine, but at the same time I am nervous because I hear these Intel macs are RAM nazis.

Edit: what about this:link ?
You can also look at Data Memory Systems

The linked RAM at MacStation --- I dunno. There have been reports that the generic 667 modules offered at $80 are not voltage stable enough for MacBook Pros. One thing I take exception to is the description of the RAM as "Samsung". If the picture is to be believed, it is not a Samsung genuine module, (all of which have the blue Samsung in an oval logo) but is probably "Samsung on third) which means Samsung chips on a lower cost third-party circuit board. It's all down to the quality of the circuit board and whether it was design and programmed right.

But to imply that the module is from "Samsung" is like buying Cadillac seats, putting them in a Hyundai, and selling the car as a Cadillac.

Thanks

Yeah, I don't think I'll go for the MacSolutions RAM. I had some in my eMac and it was fine and all, but, once again, I hear the intel macs are Ram nazis and I want to make sure it'll work. So there is no difference between the techworks and OWC RAM?

OWC seems to be a respected name around these parts, it's marginally cheaper, and guaranteed compatibility... so that's the RAM I opted to buy for my 17" (which is currently being held hostage in the dorm mail room... only a few more hours).

I have two of the 1GB OWC sticks in my 17" iMac - basically the same internals as an MBP. No problems at all, and it's been several months now.

I love OWC. I'm sure others are as good or better, but OWC is solid.
