I purchased the following RAM for my 2019 i9 iMac
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XRBS4Y5

Most people recommend the Corsair RAM

When I purchased the Ballistix RAM, it was $160 and Corsair was $220, if the configuration of the RAMs are the same what difference does it make? I know Corsair is a very popular brand, but are they are performance differences?

I looked at that Corsair as well but when I read the description of it, it says supports 6th gen i5, i7. Also its been available on Amazon since Feb. 7/16, so 3 years ago. whether that makes a difference I don't know. I usually get Kingston but this time I tried the Crucial RAM.

I've been using 32GB of the PC4-19200 version of this Ballistix Sport for just shy of two years now in my 2017 iMac in addition to the stock 8GB of Apple RAM it shipped with with zero issues. It is excellent RAM.

Based on what I've seen in these forums over the years I disagree with this.

I've seen some users post about Corsair but I've seen far more positive reports and recommendations for Crucial.
