I want to get a refurb iMac but not sure howmuch difference the spec will make. There is a 2.8 and 2.4 ghz 24" in the refurb store now, the main differences are the .4 ghz processor speeds and the ram in the 2.8 is 800mhz whereas the 2.4 runs 667mhz ram? Do these things make much of a difference?
Thanks

I was debating between the same 2 computers. I went with the 2.4 At $250 cheaper I think it's the better deal

A memory upgrade to 4Gb for either model is relatively inexpensive. So for your decision you might consider if you plan to keep the iMac long term or sell it in a year or so for something else.

The speed difference is not great, but long term perhaps having a 17% faster processor will keep you happier longer.

the price difference in the uk is £120. I would only be using it for general stuff and light photoshoping butwould want it to last for as long as possible! There is an extra gb of ram in the higher spec one and I think it would be about £20 to bring the other one up to the same level.
Thanks

I bought the 24" refurb iMac 2.4ghz few days ago, its coming in today on fed ex!
