Which Senior Vice President is in charge of OSX?

In this article you see the Senior Vice Presidents and what they are in charge of. None of them say Mac or OSX. Is anyone senior at apple fighting for Mac and OSX?

Craig Federighi is responsible for OS X since Senior Vice President Bertrand Serlet's left. Per the article, he reports directly to the CEO, but is not a Senior Vice President. (His title is Vice President of OS X Software, per the Lion introduction video.)

I'm not sure what Apple's policy is for assigning an executive-level title. My guess is that, since he reports directly to the CEO, he has just as many opportunities to "fight for" his projects as the SVPs, but probably does not have the years of service, or time in job, or whatever Apple requires qualify for the SVP title (and paycheck.)

On the other hand, I would say that it's telling that Apple does not feel the need to hire or reassign an SVP to that role. Again, that's my impression and is worth exactly what you're paying for it.

Do note also, that the most commanding, Jobs-like personality on the team (who carries a lot of pull, too) is SVP of iOS Software, Scott Forstall.

If you want to know where Apple is headed in terms of software, keep your eye on what Forstall is doing.

I just hope Apple do not turn OSX into IOS. I'm hoping whatever comes after Lion restores our faith in Apples ability (or should I say willingness) to make an outstanding operating system. They did it with Leopard and Snow Leopard. They can do it again......
