I would like to get a set of wireless headphones and am considering the AirPods Pro 2 or the Powerbeats Pro. I would only like headphones for doing chores around the house and some home improvement projects. I am leaning towards getting the AirPods Pro 2, but the battery life on the Powerbeats Pro seems amazing. Thanks for any help.

I can tell you that the PowerBeats Pros sound great. I've never taken a liking to earbud-style headphones so I can't tell you which is better. The big advantage to the PowerBeats is no worries of them falling out of your ear.

i think the airpods are a nice all around use case for casual use. Such as doing things around the house, out and about, or office work. Great sounds, easy to use with just one or both buds and transparency mode alone.

If I were doing more intensive work like big projects around the house or working out where I’d like to make sure the buds don’t come out and are sweat proof, I’d go with the Powerbeats.

I have both and both will work fine for your use. The advantage the Airpod Pro 2 has is noise cancellation which may come in handy if your chores or home projects involve loud vacuums, saws, lawnmowers, etc.

For physical activity, I find buds on a lanyard like Beats Flex more reliable. You will spend less times on your knees searching for buds. I have not tried the Beats Pro, but with other devices, their type of brackets was not always reliable with vigorous physical movement.

Don’t use mine for physical activity. The most I use mine for is cleaning and walking. I have the AirPods Pro 2 and 2 pairs of Beats Flex (free when getting Apple Watches. I can never get the Beats Flex to stay in my ears they always fall out. My AirPods Pro stay in nicely.

Thank you for all of your suggestions. I decided to get the AirPods Pro 2.
Great decision. It’s the only one imo*…

PBP have no Noise Cancellation, which is ESSENTIAL for many chores around the house - I haven’t heard my lawn mower at full volume for years thanks to the NC. Vacuuming is also a pleasure. It allows you to listen to your fave music/podcasts during those boring chores, so they fly by.

*So long as they fit your ears & stay in snug enough, which they should, as the rubber tips make them accessible to more people. Just keep them & your ears free from oils before inserting them & they’ll grip a lot better.
