I have a MBP (2.33gHz w/ 2GB RAM) and an iMac (2.16gHz w/ 1GB RAM). I was thinking of swapping out the RAM and giving the iMac the 2GB (2x1GB) and the MBP (2x512MB), what do you think? Since 2GB of RAM came standard on the MBP, is a drop to 1GB going to mess up the system? I wish for both to have 2GB of RAM, but I'm on a budget right now. On the MBP i mainly use it for the road stuff and talking to my girlfriend on Skype.
If it helps, this is what I do on each
iMac (slave computer): Parallels, Bootcamp, Microsoft Office, Missing Sync/Sync Together, Roxio Toast Titanium 8, and VisualHub
MacBook Pro (road computer): Amadeus to record audio for our church choir & school lectures, Microsoft Office, Skype with Video, Audio HiJack Pro, watching DVDs, F.E.A.R/Prey/Unreal 2004/Rainbow Six: Raven
Opinions will be greatly appreciated, have a great day
