Which silicone covers are you guys using to stop the banging of the ear cups with each other? Can you post a link, because there a ton of these covers out there, not all are decent quality apparently.

Any of the ones on Amazon work. The geekria have been the ones I’ve gotten and they are fine. Just returned a couple because the colors weren’t exactly what I wanted.

I don't turn them flat, i use a stand and have never used the bra.

OH. Duh, of course. Clearly we are doing something wrong by using the product as intended. That “logic” didn’t fly for Steve Jobs, and it doesn’t fly now. But for the sake of argument, let’s say you’re right. How then should we transport said headphones when they aren’t in use?

I use this on the corners that make contact. I use this for other electronics for areas I need some grip, but this works to prevent the banging.

Christ not this again. Aluminium is a strong metal for its lightness. You’d have to bang them pretty hard against each other to do any damage.

But hey if it makes you feel better then go ahead.

This doesn’t seem to be a problem. They don’t damage each other.
Unfortunately, not true. Mine actually have scuffs on the left cup, right where they hit each other. Not major, but still an issue. And a direct result of taking them out of that stupid bra… I’ve mitigated this issue mostly by switching to the Waterfield case.

Having said that, I still would opt to not put skins/wraps/covers on them. Rather, I hope Apple finds a more elegant solution here, or addresses this flaw in future revisions.

I bought some of the Geekria covers from Amazon, mainly to stop the banging. I ended up returning them, and here's why:

1) They STINK. Even after several days. That Chinese-factory plastic overwhelmed me every time I wore them
2) The extra mass of the skins made them just a bit too big for the case. Yes, they do fit, but the ear pads will get a bit crushed, and may deform over time.
3) I know this will sound crazy, but I swear the covers impacted the sound. They shouldn't, of course. But they did, for me.

So I decided to just live with the banging ear cups.
