Hey ya'll. I currently have a site being hosted on GoDaddy's setup and when I set up with the hosting service I thought I could use Mail but it turns out their servers aren't compatible (despite numerous calls to tech support). Can you guys recommend a hosting service I can use for my site that works with Mail?

AJ

that doesn't sound right. are you using pop3 as the protocol? i'd be surprised if godaddy doesn't support pop3, as just about every hosting service does.

It might be your ISP. Lots of ISPs make you send emails through their smtp servers otherwise they get bounced back. Mail supports IMAP and POP and I'm pretty sure every host has support for one of those.

macartistkel and the OP: please provide more detail on what's not working. radiantm3 makes a good point about smtp rejection.

Personally I use Gmail. All of my host-specific emails forward to my Gmail account, and then I log into my Gmail account through Mail via POP3. It keeps everything centralized, and Gmail does a very good job of spam filtering in between, so I hardly ever see any.
