I have most of the settings under that menu turned off except for these 3 settings that I attached, Do I have any essential setting that “should” be turned on turned off?

+1 for Find My iPhone. That's arguable the ONLY important item in there.

Any specific reason? Unless you travel constantly I don’t see why having that feature enabled is essential
If you like using nightshift for sunrise/ sunset it has to be enabled. It may also effect the bedtime alarm.. Why do you have emergency sos enabled? That is for Apple Watch tethering. Your phone always sends location(in USA)by law when you dial 911

I thought the energency SOS toggle under the system Services menu needed to be enabled for the entire SOS system to function properly so that is why I have it disabled, I am using an Apple Watch by the way. Should I turn that off?

Regarding the time zone setting, why would it affect the Bedtime feature? I do have the Bedtime feature enabled on my iPhone X but I rarely travel to a different time zone so I figured having that setting time zone toggle enabled was unnecessary

No, if your using the watch leave it on. As far as bedtime and nightshift, I just noticed they stopped working when I disabled time zone setting. I leave nightshift on auto, this might be why it doesn’t work. If you manually set on and off times for these features, the time zone toggle may not matter

Seriously? Lol, Most of these toggles under that system Services menu are ment for the iPhone to send usage info to Apple and does not benefit the user in any way with the exception of a few settings such as compass calibration and a few of the other ones we mentioned above

that’s odd because I have setting time zone disabled and Bedtime works just fine for me

Anyone have a detailed guide for what each setting does and what can safely be turned off?

Safely? Basically all of them can be turned off. It's mostly down to what you might want to make use of, like let's say Find My iPhone or SOS.

Ha, wrong choice of word on my part.

But what options most likely won't impact anything if you disable them?

Pretty much all of them won't really have an impact aside from basically things that you might want to make use of like Find My iPhone for example (for a number of years that's basically been the only one I've had enabled there, for example).

Time zone needs to be on for the 'sunrise to sunset' settings to function correctly. And as C DM stated the find my phone may be pretty useful.

I have them all enabled. The only ones I’m concerned about are the individual app ones. I don’t need all my apps spying on me. Some are ok but I do pick and choose those.

What's the fear here? That you might wader out of your time zone and having your clock be correct is somehow a problem for you?

Fear? There’s no fear it’s just that unnecessary location services running in the background and draining the battery is not something I’d like to have happening.

The only battery draining impact I’ve ever had came from one or two specific apps using location services. None of the system services have ever had any noticeable impact on my battery performance. I suppose turning them off would improve battery life somewhat but also have a very negative impact on what I use the phone for.
