just ordered a 17" MBP with all the trimmings (hi res display heheh) for my next year of uni, and i was just wondering what version of OSX is used on it? reason is i remember some comments of a change of audio unit authorization in OSX 10.4.9 which may effect me, as im a music tech student.
if it is 10.4.9, will i be able to use my current CD first revision MBP OSX installation discs to be able to get to 10.4.8 if my audio units whinge? i'll be doing a fresh install straight away anyway when i get it.
thanks

Heh, I thought this was going to be a question of which version of OS X should you put on a SR MBP. Tiger, or Tiger? Or maybe Tiger? :D

But yeah, you can't run a version of OS X that's older than what came with the machine, and it probably comes with 10.4.9 as that's the current one.
