In other words starting with what version of PSE did Adobe require online activation?

If anyone knows the answer for PhotoShop PS not PSE feel free to reply as well.

Thanks!

Curious, are you looking to run this old software? There are newer applications that work better and have one time purchases rather then subscription with what Adobe now offers.

**Edit** I pasted my answer, which was the correct answer but it was removed because it was supplied by ChatGPT. Not sure what the issue is as it was cleared stated where the info came from. Seems pretty draconian to have a rule so against AI even when it right and clearly noted as being supplied by AI.

about 3 years ago I was still using a 2014 5K iMac, it was fully loaded, SSD drive and still a performer for work using the latest version I could install for Adobe CC. When I moved to the M1 Max I was 2 versions behind the latest release. Still a really competent performer, though the M1 Max was a huge upgrade, but I would not have noticed if I had just kept plugging along.
