Which video card does the computer boot with by default?

I'm thinking about purchasing a midrange 15" (anti-glare) with 256mb video card.. Sorry if this question has been asked but I can't find the thread.

Every time you boot the computer does it use the 9400m by default and then you switch to the 9600 gt (and restart) when you need it.. or does it automatically start using the 9600gt by default each time you turn on the computer and then swith to the 9400m when you need battery life?

Is there a setting that you can turn on to tell the computer to automatically use the 9400m by default (or vice versa) everytime you boot the computer? I would assume that it boots the 9400m by default, but I just want to make sure because it would be annoying to always boot the 9600gt when I don't need it.

It will boot with the whichever GPU you last set it to.

It won't change GPUs based on power setting/mode. For instance: if set to the 9600 and you're using a/c, then switch to battery, it'll stay with the 9600.

If you reset the PRAM, it will default to the 9400M.
