Hi

I just received my AirPods Max. They are a bit heavy. Hope I will get used to that.

My main question is what orientation when placing the headphones into the smart case? Metal part of the cup facing you or foam pad facing you?

Also do you need to save the plastic protector cups that came around the ear pads?

Thanks in advance?

Metal cup faces the front. To prevent the cups from banging against each other turn one in and place that in the case then turn the other.

Best way to tell if they are in the case correctly is to look at the lightning port to see if it’s accessible with the case on. If placed in the case the other way around the lighting port is covered.

Hope this is helpful!
