Which way is up?

I'm assembling my 3rd party band but I don't have my watch yet.
Does the little hump on the adapter go up toward the face/crystal of the watch (the outside of the band) or the back/sensor (inside of the band)?

This isn't my pic but using it as an example.....
Assuming the adapter is installed correctly is that the outside of the band or the inside that we're looking at?

The little silver hump is the release mechanism for the strap and on the inside of the strap.

The side of the adapter with the three black rubber tabs always faces the outside.
