Safari, because it's very good optimized for macos and macs in general.
2nd is Opera with battery saver on, doesn't heat my CPU as much as firefox or vivaldi.

Unless you're running it in developer mode in which case it has a stupid crazy habit of hanging all the time and causing a core to run constantly at 100% and drag everything to a grinding halt.

Most of the time, yeah... I think Safari's a good boy, but when it's bad, it's VERY bad.

Can't tell about the inspector & developer mode. But this is what I have noticed.

When I'm working from, connected to my office network & multiple Microsoft apps like Outlook, OneDrive, Skype, Teams etc. are open - Safari gives me around 6 hours. Chrome kills the machine after 3 or 4 - for same kind of workflow.
