Hi all, new mac user here - my ipad seems to have a number lenses on the selfie / front facing camera.

None of my webcam covers seem to fit over it or cover all the lens’s - how does one cover these cameras with a slider style webcam cover?

Thanks

Not sure what this has to do with Mac anything as we’re talking iPad but I think the Pro only has one camera on the front, the rest are sensors for Face ID - make sure these are not covered up in order for the function to work smoothly.

I'm going to keep using ACE bandages over any lenses. I snip very small sections off the roll and easily clean any residue when replacing them.

Especially for my MBP, I was concerned about hard items being used on a spot that might eventually damage the camera, screen, etc.

hi thanks for the replies - the suggested webcam cover looks like it will also cover the sensors - the camera placement makes it diffcult to cover just the camera w/o interfering with the sensors for face ID. The ideal would be a cover which goes across the camera and face id (cause i really dont need to use that) which means maybe 2 normal covers?

I cover my laptop/computer cameras with a sticky flag but don’t brother with iPad or iPhone. Even camera covers are incapable of providing adequate privacy - What can be heard is just as valuable and private as what can be seen. If you want privacy, take yourself somewhere well away from technology.

dont those sticky flags leave adhesive on the camera lens/sensors?
Sometimes - it depends how long it's been left on there. Whatever is stuck on there is easy to remove with a swipe of the sleeve or with a clean dry cloth. At least for the sticky flags I use (usually 3M post-it brand tabs or flags).
