Which would you prefer as an iPod touch alternative? Nexus 5 or iPod touch 5?

The only reason I'm asking this is because my OPO does not have multitasking support with two apps on the screen as the Galaxies do.
I also do some of my reading on it and it All syncs because I read mostly on the Wattpad app.
It's also good to use when I am watching a video and I get a text on my phone, I could do both at once.
I'm getting a tablet for Christmas,but for now these are my only options. By the way,I have both devices.

Not really I would but my parents would have a major breakdown if my phone bricks. Haha. =D

CyanogenMod ROMs typically have root built into the developer settings - just needs to be enabled. Is this not the case with the OPO?

I'd go for the Nexus 5. Bigger screen, and its a phone
