While Playing SCII, Battery will drain while plugged in to power

As the title says. I will get done playing SCII while plugged in to a power source the entire time, and when I exit the game see that my battery has been partially drained, in the form of it telling me ~20 until my battery is charged.

Anyone else have this issue? I'm wondering if my battery is approaching the end of its useful life or if there is another issue.

EDIT: I should clarify that I am running a late 08 (first gen) unibody 15" MBP

I read something similar a while back on the forum.

That individual had exchnaged his MBP power adapter with his friend's MB adapter by accident. So when the GPU kicked in full blast, it could not run on the external power only and drained the battery.

Any chance you're having similar issues?

I suppose you've got a 60w charger and your MBP requires 85w. You need to get a 85w charger from Apple Store or exchange it in case it came with your mac (which is possible, however unlikely).

Unfortunately I am use an 85w adapter. I double-checked to be sure since I do have a older black macbook in the apartment.

Can probably consider this case closed. My battery finally showed a 'Service battery' message to me.

I was gonna reset the SMC so I popped the battery out, couldn't get the case closed afterward, the battery was swollen (deformed). So its toast. On the plus side, Apple is overnighting me a new one. So +1 for Apple service.

For reference in case in the future someone encounters this issue and finds this thread. The battery is about 2 years old, and has 306 cycles. Also, if your battery is deformed, they recommend removing it from the laptop because it can put pressure on components around it, namely the trackpad, and cause other damages.
